Title: Indirect Strategic Sourcing Consultant (Store Development/Fixtures)
Job Function:
As an Indirect Strategic Sourcing Consultant, you will play a crucial role in store development and fixture sourcing for our client. You will be responsible for developing strong business partner relationships and providing strategic sourcing support to the assigned category. Your goal is to deliver significant value to key stakeholders by managing the end-to-end strategic sourcing process, driving savings, reducing risk, and supporting efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct portions or all phases of complex contract development
- Provide analytics and evaluations to support stakeholder decision-making
- Perform project management activities for sourcing events
- Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments to manage the contracting process and provide contract evaluation, redlining, and negotiation
- Continually improve supplier performance through contractual targets and supplier performance management
- Stay updated on market changes such as emerging technologies or changes in supplier status (e.g., acquisitions)
- Advocate for compliance with the client’s
Indirect Spend and Delegation of Authority policies
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost-effectiveness in supplier negotiations across categories/departments
- Close sourcing projects efficiently by ensuring executed agreements are uploaded into contract lifecycle management tools
- Track compliance with finance approval on value deliver classifications (savings, cost avoidance, other efficiencies)
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of strategic sourcing experience within a multi-national retail corporation
- Strong expertise in multiple technology product/service categories
- Experience in sourcing store development, fixtures, retail construction preferred
- Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to adapt quickly
- Continuous learning mindset
- Proven track record of cost reduction and productivity improvements
- Ability to influence change while building solid relationships internally and externally
- Strong negotiation skills utilizing flexible strategies
- Excellent project management and timeline management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Advanced analytics, Excel, presentation, data visualization, and sourcing tools skills required
