Overview:

We are seeking a Senior M365 (SharePoint) Developer who will focus on providing strategic solutions to design, develop, and maintain ORNL SharePoint sites and M365 apps. This position requires active involvement with stakeholders on our intranet. Applicants should be passionate about employee engagement and communications.

This position resides in the Web Services group in the Information Technology Directorate at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). Working on our team, you’ll be in a highly collaborative environment with other business and technical professionals to gather, clarify, document, and verify application requirements.

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with:
• Customers to understand, analyze and document the business needs as requirements, typically in the form of features or user stories.
• The design and development teams to produce high-fidelity designs that can be reviewed with customers and built by developers.
• Application owners and the development team to resolve issues discovered during testing, or in production, and track to closure.
• The Team Lead and Tech Lead to surrounding intranet and communication strategy.
• The Communication group and other intranet stakeholders to improve current intranet experience and plan for future intranet upgrades.
• Attending regularly scheduled meetings and workshops with intranet stakeholders.
• Updating the official requirements documentation needed to align with our Software Quality Assurance (SQA) program.
• Develop and complete acceptance test plans that are traceable to the official SQA requirements documentation.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal verbal, written, and collaboration sills and the ability to interact with stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
• A BS in information systems, computer science, business, or a related field of study and eight (8) to twelve (12) years of aligned professional experience is required for consideration. An overall combination of equivalent experience may be considered.
• 5+ years of experience working with SharePoint Online out of the box modern experience.
• SharePoint Online experience to include setting permissions, creating pages, working with modern communications and modern team sites as well as modern web parts.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Basic working knowledge of Power BI and creating dashboards.
• Solid grasp of conducting and developing strategies for risk assessments.
• Ability to create conditions and formulas to display data using combination of Power BI, SharePoint and Excel.
• Power Automate experience.
• InfoWise experience.
