Job Description:
Our client is looking to fill the role of Fixed Income Business Analyst. Our investment management client headquartered in midtown Manhattan operates from 18 cities across 13 countries with US $247B AUM in traditional and alternative listed equity and fixed income. The feel of a small firm with the scale of a large global organization. The Fixed Income Technology group is looking for a business analyst who will be part of the project team responsible for transitioning business groups and functionality onto PORT Enterprise, Bloomberg’s module for performance, attribution, and risk reporting. This role will crystallize requirements, define best practices, and work with the vendor, internal technology, and business stakeholders to meet project deliverables.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the business to gather and document business requirements and functional specifications, document minutes and track takeaways
• Analyze and evaluate business requirements as it relates to large scale financial implementation projects, while providing hands-on expertise throughout implementation
• Ensure deliverables meet product requirements, and work with end users and project stakeholders to define best practices
• Evaluate business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions
• Understand upstream and downstream processes relevant to area of expertise
• Work in a dynamic environment, partnering with fast-paced agile teams, to deliver quality software solutions to complex business problems
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years project management/business analyst experience in IT
• In-depth experience in Fixed Income securities
• Excellent knowledge of Bloomberg ecosystem
• Solid grasp of SQL and the ability to create and update queries
• Excellent organizational skills; handle multiple projects and timelines while being detail oriented
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Bloomberg PORT and functional knowledge risk and attribution
• Working with JIRA/Confluence, MS Excel VBA/Macro
• Ability to collaborate as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities as required
• Accountability and willingness to be pro-active in learning and improving the quality of deliverables and efficiency of processes
