The City of Chandler Police Department, Real Time Communications Division is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Business Systems Support Principal Analysts. This is a full-time, exempt position with full benefits. The anticipated work schedule is Mon-Thurs 0730-1730.

Who we are
The City of Chandler Police Department, consisting of 362 sworn officers and 177 civilians, serves a growing population of close to 287,945 residents. The organization is divided into three main divisions, one bureau, and many sections/units. The Patrol Operations Division consisting of three precincts, 1) Main Station - Downtown & North Chandler, 2) Desert Breeze - West Chandler, and 3) Chandler Heights - South Chandler, work in concert with the Criminal Investigations Division, Operational Support Division, and Professional Services Division to meet the needs of the community. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration. We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment; and is competently able to do the following:
• Uses complex analytical skills to perform extensive research and development of technical, operational and system processes to increase efficiencies within IT/OT systems.
• Anticipates new and existing department needs and develops, implements and tests software and or technology solutions to meets these needs; establishes, modifies and develops new programs, processes, reports and queries to analyze data and create efficiencies.
• Designs, composes and maintains law enforcement related databases.
• Prepares comprehensive administrative, operations and statistical financial reports for use by internal and/or external organizations.

Minimum qualifications
• Must possess 3-years of progressively responsible professional-level work experience in public safety technology, or a closely related field.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Public or Business Administration or a related field; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
Desired qualifications
• Advanced knowledge of Real Time Crime Center technology, computer hardware, software, programming, and related systems.
• Experience diagnosing programs, configurations, and computer software integrations within the Real Time Crime Center.
• Knowledge of server implementation and network layer 3 (i.e., creation of VLANs) relevant to Real Time Crime Center technology.
Supervision
Work is performed under the supervision of a division supervisor or manager. This position may act as a lead when engaging lower level staff.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits, with a varied work schedule to include day, swing, and night shifts. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available.
