Senior Business Analyst

SEI has a challenging career opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst. This position requires a strong foundation of software development lifecycle knowledge, and experience in an Agile team environment. This position requires extensive business knowledge in the financial services industry. You should be adaptable, possess experience in Wealth Management, and demonstrate the ability to understand financial services business requirements.

What you will do:
• Perform business analysis and coordinate involvement of SMEs, users, internal and external stakeholders in order to gather requirements
• Interact with prospects, clients and industry representatives in gathering business requirements and ensure that end deliverables meet original client needs.
• Translate business requirements, defines user stories and delivers testing criteria for sprint and release planning
• Review, analyze, evaluate and recommend business systems, component applications and user needs.
• Document/communicate key decisions, open issues, case studies, workflow and functional requirements. Establish relationships within the internal and external business community.
• Proactively recommend innovations and modifications that are in compliance with industry requirements and are consistent with corporate objectives and goals to improve operational processes, systems, policies and procedures.
• Actively participate on a Scrum Team following all facets of the Agile Delivery Process.
• Support scrum masters, product owners and senior level analysts on various projects.
• Review and accept the solution delivered by the Scrum Team. Drives acceptance of the solution amongst the stakeholders
• Drive quality assurance with creation and execution of acceptance tests as needed. Prepares test planning and execution.
• Executes component or integration testing in alignment with sprint delivery cycles.
• Creates, maintains, organizes and communicates the product backlog.

​What we need from you:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and/or equivalent, relevant work experience.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business domain or background in Business analysis.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as BA/QA or product owner working in Agile/scrum framework.
• Ability to work comfortably with a wide range of people and skill sets, including architects, project managers, analysts, designers and developers
• Ability to lead/mentor other Business Analysts
• Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of the Sprints/PSI’s.
• Strong Process orientation
• Understanding of Agile principals and the ability to learn the foundations of SAFe.

• Ability to be decisive and say “no” when protecting committed Objectives
• Understand overall vision and how Product fits with that vision
• Experience with iterative development processes, quality and testing best practices.
